Barca reject Napoli approach for Bartra

The Azzurri could see Raul Albiol leave this summer and they were hoping to lure the Spain international to Stadio San Paolo.

Napoli officials believed that Bartra would be tempted by the prospect of regular playing time in Italy having seen first team opportunities fairly limited at Camp Nou.

However, Barcelona have told the Serie A giants that the 24-year-old will not be leaving the club any time soon as they clearly see the centre-back as an important player for the future.

Bartra has shown a great deal of potential since coming through the youth ranks at Camp Nou and has so far amassed 46 La Liga appearances.

The talented footballer is also regular in the Spain national team and has represented La Furia Roja five times.
